Assistant Principals' Report

THANK YOU MESSAGE

As the year comes to a close, we want to express our gratitude for your support of your child’s education. Whether helping at home, attending events, or working alongside us, your involvement has been invaluable.

This year, we’ve celebrated milestones, nurtured growth, and prepared our students for future success. Your trust and dedication have made a lasting, positive impact on our students in the Primary Years.

Wishing you a joyful and restful holiday season. We look forward to continuing this journey together next year!

HOLIDAY TIPS AND REMINDERS

As the holidays approach, it’s important to ensure everyone enjoys a fun and safe break.

Below are some key tips to keep in mind:

Online Safety

  • Stay Vigilant Online: Remind your child never to share personal information, passwords, or photos with strangers online.
  • Set Boundaries: Encourage healthy screen time habits by setting limits on device use and balancing it with offline activities.
  • Monitor Activity: Keep an eye on the apps, games, and websites your child is using, including messages and discuss the importance of online kindness and cyberbullying awareness.

Road and Bike Safety

  • Wear Helmets: If your child is cycling, riding a scooter, or skating, ensure they always wear a properly fitted helmet to protect against injury.
  • Be Road Aware: Teach children to always stop, look, and listen when crossing the road and to use pedestrian crossings where available.

END OF YEAR CELEBRATIONS

As we finish up the year, our students came together to enjoy some fantastic end-of-year celebrations!

Students in Years 4 to 6 had an amazing time participating in the Swimming Carnival, showcasing their enthusiasm and teamwork while having plenty of fun in the water. It was wonderful to see their energy and excitement throughout the day!

Meanwhile, our Prep to Year 3 students enjoyed a special treat with a delicious lunch from the Secondary Years Canteen.

Well done to all our students for finishing the year on such a positive note.

HATS 2025

As we prepare for the start of Term 1 in 2025, a friendly reminder that all students are required to wear a Hazel Glen College bucket hat. This is important to ensure the students stay safe and protected while outdoors.

If your child needs a new hat, HGC bucket hats are available for purchase from PSW. For more information, please visit the College website.

Thank you for your support in keeping our students sun-safe.
