  • Idea generation

  • Setting up ideas, quick writes and tool kit

  • What makes a good reader/writer

Mathematics: We will begin looking at mental computation strategies, focusing on addition and subtraction through games. We will discuss what mathematicians do and what characteristics they have.   We will also be collecting data on our classmates to better understand one another.

Unit of Inquiry: We will continue building our class learning community and developing our class expectations through our Essential Agreements and school values. We will also be continuing inquiring into the Learner Profile Attributes: Caring, Inquirers, Principled, Balanced, Knowledgeable, Communicators, Thinkers, Risk-Takers, Open-Minded and Reflective.

Reminders:

Parent Information Night (PIN), Wednesday Week 2, February 5th

iPads are to remain at home until the ICT agreement has been discussed and signed, which we assume will be around Week 3. Further information will be provided at PIN.
