As our Year 12 leadership team finish up their time here at Thomas Reddall High School they have taken a moment to reflect on their time at school:
Georgia Moore
Looking back at my time at Thomas Reddall High School, it is crazy to think how far I’ve come since I first walked through the gates in Year 9. Coming in halfway through high school as the "new kid" was honestly terrifying, but the TRED crew quickly made me feel like I actually belonged.
Fast forward to today, and stepping up as School Captain has been one of the proudest moments of my life going from trying to figure out where my classrooms were to leading this incredible student body is an absolute honour.
With the HSC still looming ahead of us, the pressure is definitely real right now, but I know we've got this. I need to give a massive shout-out to Fenella, who has been by my side through the absolute highs and lows, from those first daunting days to the dramas of highschool. I am so grateful to the teachers who saw my potential when I couldn't, and to everyone who has had my back. As we look toward the finish line, I know that changing schools in Year 9 was the best risk I ever took.

As Thomas Reddall’s School Captain for 2026, I’ve been lucky enough to develop enhanced relationships with the teachers and students at our school and indulge in an abundance of educational opportunities. In my experience, our teachers aren’t simply teachers, but adults who encourage, support and listen to their students. They treat us as equal individuals, offering career based and personal advice and ensure class is a perfect blend of learning and fun. My friends at school and I have had the chance to establish life long relationships with each other and enjoy countless enjoyable activities. Reflecting back on my time at Thomas Reddall, I’m glad I took advantage of the opportunities and pathways this school has allowed me to follow.

I am sincerely grateful to all of my teachers over the years for preparing me for my HSC. Although I am excited and ready to graduate I know I will one day miss the memories I was able to make because of T-RED. I want to give a special thanks to Mrs Cunnningham for her determination in helping me improve in English and a thank you to Mrs Fretwell for helping the SRC council and leadership team constantly. I appreciate the opportunities I have had access to because of this school such as being a part of the Fast Forward program, becoming a prefect and completing my body of work in Visual Arts.

My time at Thomas Reddall High School has been filled with learning, growth and friendship. It is a place where I had the opportunity to meet my friends, learn valuable lessons, and develop important life skills. My teachers are kind and supportive, guiding me through complex subjects and encouraging me to excel academically.
I enjoyed the variety of activities organised by the school, from sports to programs and clubs which foster teamwork and collaboration with surrounding peers. Thomas Reddall is not just a place for academics, it's a community where I feel safe, respected and valued.
Every day I cherish the memories of my school life, especially during my last year here. This school has shaped me into the person I am today and I'm grateful I have spent my school years here.
