Club de Español 

Last Monday at the Spanish club we had a great day taking off on aviones (planes). We were very lucky to have a “real life” pilot, Matt (Leo's dad, 1/2B ) talking about planes and a “future life” pilot, Jannik May showing us images of the main passenger planes. 

We learned about the two main plain builder companies Airbus and Boeing. Airbus is based in Europe and their parts come from all over the world, France, Germany, Spain, Mexico, etc and the planes get assemblage in Toulouse, France. Then we also talked about Boeing based in the USA, and the planes are mainly built in Seattle.

Matt showed us how to make great and effective paper planes that could fly long distances. The Monday afternoon wind helped the planes to depart safely around the playground; we will leave the landing for another session. 

We would love to say thanks to Matt for making the time and sharing with us some of his experiences as well as answering the many questions the kids had.
