2026 Yarning Conference: Information Session

Our school is proud to be part of the Darebin Schools’ Yarning Conference, where students lead the way in learning about Aboriginal histories, cultures, truth-telling and creativity.

 

Families and community members are invited to a special evening at Preston Library on Tuesday 13 October, 5:00–6:30 pm, celebrating the impact of the Yarning Conference and the powerful learning taking place across Darebin schools.

 

The evening will feature Yarning Conference cultural educator Shiralee Hood, alongside local teachers, principals and Darebin staff. Simon, who leads the Yarning Conference at Newlands, will be part of the teacher panel, sharing our school’s experiences and reflections from the program.
