Principal's Report

Art Show

A huge thank you to all our families who came along to the Art Show last week and helped make it such a wonderful success. It was fantastic to see so many members of our school community coming together to celebrate and support our school and our Visual Arts program.

A special thank you to our Visual Arts teachers, Kathy Orford and Sandra Mazzocca, for their vision, creativity and commitment in bringing this year’s ‘Seasons of the Year’ theme to life. We are incredibly fortunate to have such passionate and dedicated teachers at our school, and we greatly appreciate all the work that goes into planning and creating this event throughout the year.

And, of course, well done to all our students for their amazing artwork. It was wonderful to see their creativity, talent and hard work proudly displayed for our community to enjoy.

Also, thank you to Jellis Craig for organising the very popular ice cream van, and to our Administration team for organising the raffles and supporting the event.

It was a fantastic celebration of our students, our Visual Arts program and our wonderful school community. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success.

Parent Opinion Survey

Thank you to all of the parents and carers who took the time to complete the Parent Opinion Survey over the past few weeks. Your input and feedback are greatly appreciated and provide valuable information to help us reflect on and improve our school. The results will be available to the school during Term 4, and we look forward to sharing them with our school community once they are received.

Planning for 2027

We are now at that time of the year when we begin planning for 2027. We understand that some families may unfortunately not be returning to Wheelers Hill Primary School next year due to relocating home or changing schools. If this applies to your family, we are sorry to see you leave our school community and thank you for being part of WHPS.

If you know that your child/children will not be attending WHPS in 2027, please contact the school by phone or email to let us know of your plans. This information is extremely helpful as we plan classes, staffing and resources for next year.

Footy Day and Parade 

Our annual Footy Day Parade was held earlier today and it was great to see so many students dress up in their team colours on such a lovely sunny Spring morning. We held a parade around the oval and also held a goal kicking competition. Well done to ... myself and Mrs Drury for winning the goal kicking competition. Thanks also to Mrs Drury for organsing such a fun morning. 

50th Anniversary Community Celebration 

Just a reminder to save the Date for the 50th Anniversary celebration on Friday 13th November from 5-9pm. We are planning on having:

• Open Classrooms
• Choir Performance
• Unveiling of the 50th Anniversary Mural
• Sausage Sizzle
• Proactivity Games and Activities on the Oval
• Movie Night on the oval - Toy Story 5

We hope that you and your families can come to enjoy celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Wheelers Hill with all of the community.
