WHPS Year 6 Basketball Competition

On Friday 4th September, our Year 6’s had two teams, one girls team & one boys team compete in the Monash Heights District Basketball competition at Waverley Basketball Stadium. After tryouts and final team selections, two teams were chosen and training started. Both teams worked hard and were impressive with their skills, ready and confident on the day. We are all very proud of their efforts and their attitude and sportsmanship shown during this competition.

The boys team won one of their five games against some extremely tough competition.

The girls team tried hard in all five games but did not get a win.

Special thanks to the parent helpers for coming along to help with scoring on the day. Your ongoing support of the PE program is always appreciated.

Amber 6MP – The day was challenging but we had fun.

Olivia 6SC – The opposition was stronger than I expected.

Amelie 6SC – It was really challenging but we had a good day.

Jake 6MP – Our teamwork was great, but the other teams were better.

Cedric 6MP – We played well as a team and won our last game.
