In preparation for the building works, today we farewelled some of our trees. It is never easy to see a tree go, particularly when it holds special memories. Fortunately, for every tree removed, two more will be replanted, at an appropriate distance from the buildings and in accordance with Bushfire Risk requirements. With the trees removed, we are looking forward to seeing the works progress. Hopefully it won't be too long before we will be enjoying our new building and seeing the new trees being planted.

Recently, students in Prep-2 have been learning about life in the past. As part of their understanding of how people sourced their food, earlier this week, students P-1 learned the process of making their own butter by hand.

After spending 10 minutes shaking their jar of cream, with a pinch of salt, the transformation took place and they were soon enjoying their freshly made butter on toast!

On Tuesday, we welcomed back the kinder students for another transition day along with one of our new teachers, Anna Gallasch, who will be teaching in Prep/1 next year. Anna will join us again next Tuesday, the 12th of December, as part of the Statewide Transition Day. All students in Prep-6 will transition to their new classes on this day, with Year 6 students spending the day at the Secondary School.

Next Thursday, the 14th of December, we will be marking the end of the year with a special Assembly at 9.00am. Afterwards, we will be holding a 'thank you' morning tea for all our volunteers, who have contributed their time to our school throughout the year. Year 6 families are also welcome to join us for a light morning tea, prior to celebrating the graduation of our Year 6 students, with a special ceremony, at 11am. We look forward to sharing this very important moment with you.

Nominations are open now up until 30 April 2024.
