Sustainability

The winning class of the Eco Warrior Champion Reward system for 2023 was 2A. 

2A consistently showed Sustainable behaviours throughout the year. Students have been awarded stickers all year for their actions and contributions to making our school a cleaner and more environmentally friendly.

2A had a Wildlife incursion on Monday 27th of November as their reward. Congratulations 2A!!

A sincere thank you to all students across the school who have earned stickers for their class throughout the year. Your actions are much appreciated and our environment thanks you.

All Eco Warriors from Year 1 to Year 6 were able to enjoy the incursion as well for their active participation in their roles this year. This year our Eco Warriors have:

• Promoted our bin system
• Educated their classmates on how to correctly use the compost bin
• Regularly emptied the compost bins with their peers and taught them the system
• Role modelled how to be sustainable on the yard
• Assisted with the Fiji Kidz Donations 
• Audited our waste systems here at SoGS
• Awarded students doing the right thing on the yard with Eco Warrior stickers
• Taken turns to announce the Golden Gnome for the Cleanest Areas on the yard
