2024 Staffing & Classes

2024 Staffing

We are pleased to confirm our 2024 staffing. Next year we will be running 26 classes (we currently have 24 classes), plus an additional specialist class – Science. These changes mean that we will be welcoming a number of new staff members to FPS, as well as saying farewell to a couple of our current teachers.

 

Farewells

Aaron Chaston and his family are relocating to Phillip Island at the start of next year. Aaron joined FPS in 2016 and has contributed to the school in a number of ways. We thank Aaron for all of his work at FPS, including the many Year 5 camps that he accompanied.

 

Caitie Flanagan is also having a sea change, moving to Anglesea. Caitie has been at the school for two years and we appreciate her contributions and support, noting in particular her work towards the school’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

All of our new teachers will be attending the Meet Your Teacher session on Friday 15th December, from 9:30 – 10:30am (it’s Friday 8th December for our incoming Foundation children). The new staff will also be attending our handover sessions – this is when the current classroom teacher hands over relevant information to the next year’s teacher.

Class lists for next year are finalised, and students will meet their 2024 teachers and classmates in their new classrooms shortly. The dates for the 'Meet Your Teacher' sessions are:
