Overdue Books

If anyone still has outstanding books, could they please be returned tomorrow. If you cannot find a book have a good look over holidays. You can return them any time next term.

Book Club

Final Book Club orders have been handed out. Thank you so much for your support this year. Each order provides the school with credit to purchase new books for our library.

Library Cleanout

Many of you have been the happy recipients of many non fiction books over the last few days. With the help of some hard working Yr 5 & 6 students we have had a big clean out of the teacher resource and non fiction sections of the library. The children have certainly thought it was Christmas already as they helped themselves to armfulls of books!! I hope you enjoy sharing them together over the holiday break.

All of this is being done in preparation for ordering new furniture and rearranging the space at the beginning of 2024. We are VERY excited at what may be possible.

Getting started with Sora

With Sora, you can get free ebooks and audiobooks from your school.

Step 1 ______________________________________________________

Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to soraapp.com.

Step 2______________________________________________________

In Sora, click on I have a setup code, then sign in.

Note: If you need your sign-in information (like an ID, username, or password), it is the same one you use to log into your chromebook. Ask you class teacher if you aren;t sure what this is.

Sign into your School – Select your school - ACEN

Step 3______________________________________________________

Browse the

tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away.

Step 4______________________________________________________

Close the book and go to

see all your books (including assignments). From there, you can:

Select Open book or Open audiobook to read or listen to the book.
Select Options to renew or return the book, see your notes and highlights, and more.

Premiers Reading Challenge Books can be found in Collections in folders marked NSW Premiers Reading Challenge K-2, NSW Premiers Reading Challenge 3-4, NSW Premiers Reading Challenge 5-6.

A new feature is available on World Book Online for dyslexic students. Students can now change the font to Opendyslexic font via the Tools & Settings button in each article. “OpenDyslexic is a typeface designed against some common symptoms of dyslexia”. This feature is currently only available in World Book Student.
