Grade 3 & 4 

Is space exploration necessary? 

This has been our biggest wondering this week. 

We have learned so much about space exploration!

This term, we have investigated shadows, learned about the sun, worked out the difference between lunar and solar eclipses, and explored the moon and what makes up the solar system.

From all we have learned, we will construct a persuasive text this week stating our point of view as to whether "Space Exploration" is necessary.

We have tried two ways to retrieve and put information into our own sentences after reading an article called "Is Space Exploration Necessary" and "Back to Earth with a Bump" using the main idea pyramid concept.

We also had the privilege to watch the grade 3 and 4 students perform their music routines before their concert tonight. It was a pleasure to watch each student get up and perform in front of the whole middle area. We were all so proud of them all!

Grade 4 students are getting very excited about heading off to Portland next week for camp. They will be away Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and grade 3 students will come to school as normal on those days.
