Grade 2

Term 4 - Week 7

What a crazy start to Week 7 the Grade 2's have had!

THE DAY THE CHAIRS QUIT!

The students returned from recess on Monday to find that our classroom chairs had quit! The chairs left a letter for the students explaining why they decided to quit. During our writing block, the students had to write a letter to the chairs convincing them why (or why not) they should return. We created a letter all together as a class. The students own letters were very convincing and they all had some extremely persuasive arguments.

In maths, we have been looking at division.

We have been looking at sharing items in our classroom into equal groups. We have also been using our multiplication skills to assist us with our division.

During inquiry,  we are learning about places that can be found locally, statewide or nationally. Students then sorted places into the correct categories.

We are looking forward to a busy 4 weeks left of term!
