Vice Principal &

Wellbeing Report

Congratulations Harry.

Last weekend, Harry demonstrated great maturity and was very calm when his dad fell ill and required an ambulance.

Harry was able to assist his dad in making the call to the ambulance and was ready to call 000 himself if needed.

In Harry's own words, he remained calm and cared for his dad. He kept a watch for the ambulance and waved the ambulance down.

This year we were very fortunate in that Amy Brown, a paramedic and a school parent arranged for the ambulance to visit school. This is such a wonderful thing to build children's confidence to both phone an ambulance and understand that they are there to help us. Harry told me that having the ambulance visit was why he was so confident in knowing what to do.

We are incredibly thankful to be able to offer our children these experiences.

Harry's words of advice to all children if they have to call an ambulance are:

Be calm

Dial 000 if you need to.

Make sure not to move around too much.

Watch for the ambulance.

Wave them down.

Don't be frightened, and they are here to help us.

Well done Harry. We are very proud of you.
