Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of another school year.

2023 has been a fantastic year at SHNPS. Our students should be so proud of their efforts and the growth they have achieved in their learning.  Reports were uploaded to Sentral on Tuesday for families.

This year has continued to bring challenges with flooding damage that was unexpected and out of the school’s control at the end of the school year.

We have welcomed many new students to SHNPS this year and this is continuing into 2024.

Next year we will run 9 classrooms.

Please see the list of classrooms and teachers. We wish our staff who are finishing up at SHNPS all the best in their new adventures.

Christmas Concert

Thank you to all of the families who braved the weather last Tuesday night to attend our Christmas Picnic. I was overwhelmed with how many people came along. It was amazing to see so many students up on stage singing.

After the challenges of the past few weeks, it was so nice to have the community together to celebrate the end of the 2023 school year.

2024 Booklists

We have had an overwhelming response from families in purchasing the 2024 booklists and curriculum contributions.

With a change in the DET policy, we are requesting parents purchase the educational items for students to own.

We have sourced the equipment from Campion. Resources can be purchased through the portal. Free postage has been extended until Thursday.

There was some confusion over delivery costs showing up as you checkout and we have passed on the feedback that Campion. Their processing fees are showing up as delivery. We apologise for this and will update it for next year.

Please ensure your child brings their backpack to school on the first day of 2024.

AMP 2 - Master Planning

The school is in the beginning stages of developing a master plan which will meet the educational needs and priorities of the school, and the functionality of current buildings to plan school infrastructure upgrades. We are excited for this to take shape in 2024.

Grade 6 2023 Students

Good luck to our Grade 6 students who graduate at the end of the year and are moving on to Year 7. We know you will do fabulous things in your next chapter of schooling.

When Grade 6 students graduate often families who have been at the school for a very long finish up also. To all of our families who finish their journey with us, thank you for partnering with us.

On behalf of all the staff we wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year;

We look forward to seeing our Year 1-6 students on Wednesday 31st January and our Prep students on 1st February.

Kind regards,

Brea
