An overview of learning in each PLC presented to Governing Council in week 8

Early Years PLC

This week, the 13 Block had some Elf visitors who are going to watch over the 13 Block students for the rest of the term. In writing, we have been looking at information reports and students have created a poster on a Platypus; the poster will have facts and diagrams of the animal. In Maths, students have been revising a range of topics that have been taught throughout the year, with a big focus on number and number problems. Students and teachers are looking forward to making their last two weeks together in 2023 memorable.

Block 3 students have been working on researching facts about a bird. They have produced a poster with this information. We have also been working on revising number facts to finish off the year. We enjoyed the movies and are now involved in many different Christmas activities. We had a great time at the Disco.

We are making our way through the Civics and Citizenship English units and are almost all wrapped up for the year!

We have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes, as well as their nets and the correct terminology used. We have also been revising concepts taught over the year through our weekly interleaved practice and are practising transferring skills to a range of contexts.

Primary classes have also been doing a booklet, which is an online game, of Japanese general knowledge questions and this has been really fun.
