EDSC has had a very successful year in the AMC with 18 students attaining a High Distinction, placing them in the top 3% of the cohort, and a further 51 students attaining a Distinction which places them in the top 20% of the cohort.

Additionally, EDSC had a great year in the ICAS Mathematics Competition with 6 students attaining a High Distinction placing them in the top 1% of the cohort and 26 students attaining a Distinction placing them in the 10% of the cohort.

In particular, we would like to highlight the outstanding achievement of Dhyey Jigneshkumar - 8I who attained a prize and Runyu (Richard) - 10G who was also awarded a Prize and awarded Best-In-School. Runyu (Richard) was given his high achievement award at Adamson Hall on 28 November by the Australian Mathematics Trust.

We would also like to further extend our congratulations to Runyu (Richard) - 10G on being awarded an ICAS Medal for being the best student in the State of Victoria in Year 10.

Congratulations to all participants in the AMC and ICAS this year. Your endeavours to demonstrate mathematical reasoning are an inspiration to us all.
