Secondary CIS Athletics Results

During the school holidays, fifteen Secondary students proudly represented Moama Anglican Grammar at the Combined Independent Schools State Championships in Sydney and the results were remarkable! Key highlights included:

Gold: Phoenix Wise - High Jump 13Y

Silver: Georgia Barnett - Shot Put 18-19Y

Silver: Tahlia Blight - 400m 14Y

Silver: Phoenix Wise - Long Jump 14Y

In addition, we had several top 10 finishes across both field and track events. The improvement shown by our students since their results at Albury in August was very impressive. Weekly coaching sessions in the lead up helped many of them get stronger, faster and improve their technique. A huge congratulations to all our participants on their outstanding efforts.

NSW All School Track and Field Championships - Tahlia Blight

Year 9 student, Tahlia Blight had a great run in the NSW All School Track and Field Championships during the Term 3 school holidays. Tahlia placed fourth in the 14 years 400m in a stellar field. You can watch Tahlia’s race here. Well done Tahlia, you should be very proud of your performance.

Squads Update

Our Netball and Swimming Squads are currently active! The Netball Squad trains on Thursday mornings, while the Swimming Squad meets on Tuesday mornings. If your student is interested in joining, please email Mr Greg Cadd at gcadd@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au.
