Kids in Space Challenge

We took our 2 teams in grades 3-6 to the Kids in Space Showcase day at Melbourne North Primary School.

The day featured 42 different teams from around Victoria sharing their projects and voting on their favourites.

Our 3/4 Team, Ella, Tahli, Addison, Sweeza, and Lilly took on the challenge of supporting astronauts' mental health in space with therapy dogs. Creating space suits and equipment to make it possible. Although they did not win an official award, they were each given a challenge coin by the U.S. Embassy and Consulate. These types of coins are only obtained through membership, special achievement, or special recognition.

Our 5/6 Team, Jacob, Cameron, and Spencer created an exploration rover, designed to be cheap enough to allow us to explore a large number of planets at once. It featured a drill, Remove drone, and plant greenhouse to help test environments.

They won the people's choice award, collecting more votes than any of the other projects on show!

We are super proud of all of the students involved, and the countless hours of work they put in to their projects. Well done!

Rocket League

Congratulations to A.I. for winning their second consecutive RHPS Tournament. They played well, and H.M.C. Elite did not make it an easy win. Well done to everyone who entered and competed this term.

We hope you all have a great, safe and adventurous holiday!
