Wellbeing & Engagement Collection Survey (WEC)

Every year, students in years 4-12 across South Australia engage in the Wellbeing & Engagement Collection (WEC) Survey.

"The WEC asks students about their views on wellbeing and engagement with school.

The WEC provides the government and schools with information to support improving and maintaining students’ health, happiness, well-being and relationships.

It gives schools, the community and government an insight into what needs to happen to make sure students experience success and are provided with resources and opportunities to reach their full potential." - Department for Education

In this Wellbeing & Engagement edition, we'd like to present to you the 2023/24 WEC data specifically about student engagement with school.

Our 2024 data indicates that a majority of year 4-6 students: feel supported by their teachers and have a good relationship with them; feel cared for and respected by teachers and peers at their school; and feel they belong to a group of friends and fit in at our school.

We are pleased with our school's data in this section and moving forward we would like to find further ways to improve our 'Engagement with School' data.

'Curtis can be extremely proud of the progress he has made over the last two terms and for his overall output across all subject areas.

We love Curtis because he  demonstrates a caring and kind nature towards his peers, especially, when he can see the need to help and support someone.

Curtis is also a natural when working with younger peers, he showcased great leadership skills, excellent communication, and was gentle in how he supported them.
