TERM 4 WEEK 2

Welcome Back

Welcome back to all families, students and staff to Term 4. We hope everyone had a lovely holiday. It has been a great return for the final term of 2024, and it has been exciting to see all our students excited to be back at school. There is a lot of buzz around the school regarding our End of Year Community Night. This is going to be a spectacular event. Our students have been hugely engaged in learning their dances and we can't wait to see them in action.

Term 4 is always an amazing time for our grounds. If you have had an opportunity to come into school you will see all our natives flowering and our gardens and lawns looking magnificent. We are so lucky to have such wonderful school grounds—hats off to our two brilliant Groundsmen Peter and Isaac.

Just a reminder that all students need to be wearing hats when outside. Hats are available through the Uniform Shop on Monday morning, Wednesday after school or via the online shop https://www.belgraviaapparelschools.com/collections/lockleys-north-primary-school. Students who don't have hats will be required to sit in shaded areas.

World Teachers' Day

FRIDAY 25TH OCTOBER 2024

World Teachers’ Day honours the dedication, hard work, and passion of teachers who play a crucial role in shaping the minds and futures of our children.

Let's celebrate our wonderful LNPS teachers!

World Teachers' Day is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the incredible work teachers do every day. By celebrating this day and showing our appreciation, we can help create a supportive and encouraging environment that allows teachers to thrive and continue making a positive impact on our children's lives.

We will have a coffee van - coffeewithrusty on Friday morning as part of our celebration. Community members are welcome to purchase a coffee from 8:20.

Class Placements 2025

In the first few weeks of Term 4, the process to place students into classes for 2025 will begin.

Classes are formed according to:

  • The number of students at each year level
  • The Education Department’s recommended teacher-to-student ratio as per the funding model
  • Staff knowledge about students' educational and wellbeing needs
  • Information provided by parents that address the LNPS Class Placement Guidelines (please see attached)

Class Placement Guidelines-COMMUNITY.pdf

If parents wish to provide further educational information to support this process, please use the LNPS Class Placement Guidelines.

Information or requests that do not meet the criteria outlined in the guidelines will not be taken into consideration.

Please email tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au or mirjana.grubor793@schools.sa.edu.au  by Monday 28th October.

It is vital that requests are received by this date as teachers and leadership will begin collaborating in the early weeks of Term 4.

Families will be notified of their child's class placement on Monday 9th December.

Any requests after families are notified of their child's placement will not be considered.
