Year 1
Fairy Tale Dress Up Day!
Last Monday, 17th September, Year 1 students celebrated ‘Fairytale Day’. The day was filled with creativity and wonder with students dressing up in an array of Fairytale themed costumes. The festivities began with photos and a treasure hunt to find some magical gems before students delved into many fun activities such as crafting crowns and creating twinkling nature wands from sticks, wool, pipe cleaners and feathers.
On the day, students also relished in a tea party for the finest of guests. They enjoyed a cupcake and some pink lemonade. Any magical tea party is never complete without some dancing, joy, and laughter too. In the afternoon, students showcased their incredible costumes at assembly. Children, parents, and teachers cheer and applauded, celebrating the magic of imagination and the joy of storytelling. The Year 1 teachers shared a story and students were brave enough to share about their favourite parts in learning about Fairytales this term.
Through crafts, delightful gatherings, parades and more, our Fairytale Day sure did transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, reminding us of all that magic that lies within and around us.
