OUR FAITH
PRAYER
Sustaining God, caretaker of life, you are always present. You live in us. Watch over our school community during the break, and keep us safe in your watchful gaze. Bless our school community as we embark on holidays.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
We pray ...
for..... all of our families who may be experiencing a loss or hardship at the moment and for all Year 12 students in particular the McCarthy Catholic College students as they complete their final days of schooling and for all who are travelling in the holidays.
LITURGY NEWS
Yesterday some of our Year 4 students had the opportunity to attend Reconciliation. We thank Fr Chris and Fr Saji for their time and spiritual guidance.
On Wednesday the Infants students celebrated a special Infant’s liturgy at St Nicholas Church. The singing and reading by all students was outstanding. We thank Fr Chris for leading the liturgy and all the mums, dads, grandparents and special friends who attended.
FAMILY MASSES
Family Masses for next term will be held Sunday 3rd November (Yr 3 families) and Sunday 1st December (Yr2 and Yr 4 families) at St Nicholas Church at 9.30a.m.
These Masses are an opportunity for our School community to come together with our Parish Community to celebrate and to share a ‘cuppa ‘and morning tea afterwards.
OCTOBER IS MISSION MONTH -Advanced Notice
This year’s Catholic Mission theme is 'Kick goals for good'. Catholic Mission is asking that we join others throughout Australia to learn more about issues of mission and justice and raise awareness and funds for the Caring Centre in Mongolia. To support Catholic Mission Month our school will be having a “Crazy Socktober Day” on Friday 18th October where the students will be allowed to wear colourful and outrageous socks to school for the day.
The students are asked to bring a gold coin donation to school on this day to help raise funds for Catholic Mission. More informtion can be found at;
