Year 9 Elective History

Students in Year 9 Elective History have been learning about the Ainu people of Japan. The Ainu were only formally recognised by the Japanese government in 2008. These models photographed reflect a traditional Ainu village on the island of Hokkaido. Students have completed a comparative study of the Ainu and First Nation Australian People. There are many similarities between the two cultures.
