Dental Van Visit
We are again offering families the opportunity from Australian Dental Health Victoria via their School Dental Initiative.
Australian Dental Health Victoria (ADHV) will examine children, from the age of 2 to 17, at ZERO out of pocket cost providing an equal opportunity when it comes to dental health. Every child at Wantirna College has the opportunity to see the dentist.
The positive community impact reflects the ADHV’s extensive experience in managing and accommodating to each school and family needs. Australian Dental Health Victoria can provide students with:
- Check-ups
- Examinations
- Fillings
- Root canals
- Tooth strengthening fluoride varnish
- Preventative mouth cleans
- Protective coatings for permanent teeth
- Free oral health education
- Simple extractions
- Orthodontic referrals for braces
ADHV is legally compliant with The Department of Education and Training requirements, complies with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and with the Australian Department of Health & Human Services standards.
This week, your child should have brought home a permission form from ADHV. It will be a paper form, as it is provided by ADHV, and cannot be completed on Compass. Spare forms are available from the General Office.
If you would like your child to be looked at as part of this offer please fill in the form and have your child return it to the General Office at the College.
This must be returned no later than Friday 13th September 2024 so that the ADHV team can organise the visit.
The appointments will begin on Monday 7th October 2024, the first day of term 4, and we will endeavour to inform your child prior when their appointment is scheduled.
If you have any questions, please call or email me at the College.
