Spotlight on Our Inclusion Captains: Cooper and Shay

We are excited to highlight our exceptional Inclusion Captains, Cooper and Shay. As two of the most passionate and dedicated student leaders, they have been making remarkable strides in fostering a more inclusive and supportive school environment.

Cooper and Shay are leading the charge in creating a balanced approach between community shoutouts and callouts. Their goal is to celebrate positive behaviours while addressing areas for improvement with sensitivity and respect. Their thoughtful approach is designed to ensure that every student feels valued and supported.

Beyond their work on behaviour management, Cooper and Shay are also focusing on enhancing how we address and improve student behaviour both in the yard and within the classroom. They are taking a student-centered perspective to understand and address these challenges more effectively.

Their commitment to inclusivity is further represented by their upcoming survey, which aims to gather student feedback on ways to refine our school’s behaviour and inclusion strategies. This initiative reflects their dedication to making our school a place where every student feels welcomed and empowered.
