Connect Crew

Teaming up with the VM Program

It's been a busy and productive time for our Connect Crew. Our students have been hard at work, not only within the classroom but also outdoors, making a positive impact around the school. A major focus has been on tidying up the garden beds, with several new projects taking shape.

The highlight of our recent efforts has been the collaborative work between the VM team and the Connect Crew on the garden outside C Block. This project has provided a unique opportunity for our younger students to interact with and learn from their older peers. The willingness of the students to work together and support one another has been heart-warming and truly reflects the spirit of our school community.

The enthusiasm and dedication shown by everyone involved will not only beautified our school grounds but also fostered a sense of pride, accomplishment and develop friendships among the students. We look forward to seeing this space continue to flourish and become a favourite spot for relaxation and reflection.

Through activities such as these it’s seen a huge development and emphasise placed on teamwork, empathy, and effective communication; students are gaining a deeper understanding of the perspectives of others. A huge thank you must go to Mr Pearson and Courtney Moran for coming together and organising these groups working together. As we move forward, we’re excited about the ongoing collaboration between the Connect and VM teams.

The Connect Crew have future projects that are already in the planning stages, with a focus on student-led initiatives, so be sure to stay tuned!
