Author Visit

Next Wednesday, Author Amie Kaufman is coming to Wantirna College to run a Creative Writing Workshop. Amie is the co-author of the 9/10 Creative Writing textbook Illuminae, and ran a workshop with us last year. Interested students have been asked to nominate themselves to be able to attend. Based on last year, those attending are going to have a great time learning the steps involved in creating characters, worlds and storylines. We are all very excited!

Library Leaders

Our Library Leaders program is expanding! We have just accepted several more students into the program and they are busy learning all the tasks that go into running a school library. Our more experienced cohort have taken on a mentorship roll and everyone is expanding their skills. If anyone is interested in becoming a Library Leader drop into the Library and have a chat with one of the Library staff.

Artisan of the Month & Resident Writers

The latest round of both the Artisan of the Month and Resident Writers has closed for this term, but we encourage everyone to get a head start on their entries for Term 4. Results for the August Artisan of the Month and the Term 3 Resident Writers will be announced in the next Newsletter.
