This term, fifty five of our Year 9 and 10 students as the Intermediate Boys and Girls Basketball teams took the court.
The students have more to say about their experiences below:
On Friday the 23rd of August, the Intermediate Boys played division basketball at Dandenong Basketball Stadium. I was a part of the 2nd team and had a great time competing against the best teams. The day was full of great memories, like our game against Bayswater where players from our own team filled in for them as they were short on players. The 2nd team ended up finishing in 3rd, with the boys in the 1st team making it through to EMR. I’d like to thank all of the efforts everyone put into making the day happen and wish the best of luck to the boys going to EMR.

On Friday the 23rd of August the year 9 and 10's played interschool sport basketball. I was able to join the boys 3 team on the day in pool B. The team did very well trying to be fair with subs and making sure everyone was playing. We ended up winning most games but ended up falling short in the finals with a small team of 6 making it hard with everyone sore and tired on the last game after all the games on the day. The team having a good time whilst playing and made sure to share the ball well, having our best game against the team that almost won it all in the pool. It was a overall great day and a great effort from all the teams.

On Friday the 23rd of August our Intermediate Basketball teams went out to compete against the other schools of our area, we had four teams competing. All teams made it through to the semi-finals and one of teams, my own, advanced to the next round. Everyone who attended should be proud of how they played and represented their school and a big thanks to all the staff who organised and attended this event. We are looking forward to training and playing in EMR round.

On Friday the 23rd of August year 9 and 10 girls went to Dandenong Basketball Stadium to play Knox division basketball. We had 2 teams, and both teams played exceptionally well throughout the day showcasing their skills and determination on the court. The 1s fought very hard against Fairhills and Upwey but despite their hard efforts they showed on court and competitive spirit they were unable to secure a win in their games. The girls tried very hard and demonstrated great sportsmanship, while showing their dedication to the games.
Fortunately, the 2s were able to secure two wins throughout the day demonstrating both teamwork, determination and skill. They played against Heritage, two teams from Rowville West and Boronia. Their hard work throughout the day paid off, resulting in a successful day on the basketball court. Great work to all the girls who participated!
