Australia Expo
Year 3 students are excitedly preparing information, posters, data and statistics for the Australia Expo on Monday 24th June in the stadium. Everyone is welcome at 2.15pm until 3pm.
Homework
The last homework block for the term involves Year 3 students collecting or making something for their display table at the Australia Expo. If you can support your child to collect a travel brochure, or make a diorama, or a model of a famous landmark, it will greatly add to the spectacle of the day. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact your child's classroom teacher.
Reminder: Upcoming Excursion to the MCG
We are excited to remind you about our upcoming excursion to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
This excursion offers a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about the history and significance of one of Australia's most iconic sporting venues.
Payments for the excursion are now open on Compass. Please ensure you complete the payment process as soon as possible.
Year 4 Maths
Students in Year 4 have been investigating fractions in recent weeks. One of their recent classroom activities involved creating a ‘fraction animal’ constructed from different-sized fraction pieces.
Once the animal was finished, students described the size of their piece of work in the following ways: mixed number, improper fraction, decimal or percentage.
Examples of the work can be seen in the pictures below:
Year Four students have also been busy exploring the world of journalism. Our students have studied news articles, learning about writing and reporting. They've practised identifying facts, understanding sources, and the standards of journalism.
Here are a few examples of their creative articles:
