“I’m Bored” and The Importance of Play

With the school holidays fast approaching and with it being cold and wet outside, it is important to remember the positive power that play has for our children. 

 

Play (off devices including TV, Ipads, phones, computers and gaming consoles) is incredibly important for children to reset their brains and to promote creativity. 

 

It is so easy to grab a device to entertain children (don’t get me wrong, I love the TV and so do my children!), however, when children say “I’m bored,” this is a perfect time to let their imagination ignite and creativity flow!
