Grade 5 and 6 students investigated our waste system and discovered that our classes and staff produced 5kg of landfill and paper waste a day. 3kg of that weight was food waste. 

Students concluded that we need to reinstate compost bins as well as recycling bins. Some of the recycled waste are Prima packets, cans and plastic bottles which can now be collected for cash. 

We will start a collection day for these such containers soon. Grade 2 classes collected 2 bags of litter in the playground.
