Prep/1/2 Excursion to Werribee Zoo

Years Prep, 1 & 2 travelled to Werribee Zoo on 29 May 2024 as part of their biological sciences inquiry unit.

Maya. We went on a safari bus to see the animals.

Peter. On the safari bus we travelled to the animals’ habitats.

Sophie. We saw reptiles. I liked the snakes.

Nikita. We went into an enclosure with the bilbies. They were little and cute.

Alex. We made sticks into a house. I could only fit one person in.

Noah. We went and saw the Australian animals. The emu was my favourite.

Justin. We discovered some bugs - centipedes, millipedes, soldier beetles. 

Felicia. I liked the giraffes. There was one really tall one. The poo was really stinky.

Millie. We went to a special habitat where the wallabies were. They were beautiful.

Vasilisa. We saw a zebra. I liked it. 

Amira. We had a picnic for lunch on the green.

Olivia. We saw eggs. There were small ones and big ones and black ones.

Jax. I climbed a really high tree in the wallaby structure.

Hector. After we went to the wallabies we had to find poo / scat.

Riel. I saw a possum. 

Yarra. It was pretty good. We saw meerkats and they were super cute.
