Italian Day 21st May 2024

Che Giornata Fantastica!

Wow, wow, wow! We had such an amazing time last Tuesday, 21st May, on Italian Day. The children were all so excited and dressed beautifully in their Italian colours and other cultural clothing.  

The feedback from the students has been fantastic and it’s pretty obvious that it's hard for them to pick which part of the day was their favourite, but gelati has been mentioned by almost everyone.

Biscuit making was a success and they tasted delicious too. Pasta made by our beautiful Mrs Martello was scrumptious and our live Italian Show featuring the story of Emilio’s Pappa’s journey to Australia was fascinating. 

We danced to the Tarantella and of course the Chicken Dance, a staple at every Italian function. The children were an excellent audience and they showed their interest by asking thoughtful questions.

Overall the day was a huge success. I’d like to say grazie mille to all of our staff and especially Mrs Carlei for making the day possible. Of course, grazie to our magnifico ragazzi  for being so amazing.
