Principal's Report
Dear families,
It has been an honour for St Brigid’s College to be the host of the Catholic Education Ballarat’s Message stick over the last two weeks. Today we farewelled our involvement with the message stick at a Reconciliation Week whole school liturgy. We will now pass it on to St Patrick’s PS in Nhill so it can continue its journey through the Wimmera catholic schools.
Next week we farewell Jillian Wright who has been filling in for Fiona Friberg as acting Deputy Principal while Fiona has been enjoying the Mediterranean sun. In addition, we also farewell Wendy Ellis from our canteen who will be leaving us to pursue a career change. Thank you to both these wonderful people for the work they have done with our students and staff. We keenly await Fiona’s return on Wednesday.
As we near the end of the term / semester, attention is turned to the start of the new semester and for most students, new subjects. Again, staffing remains tight in all schools, and I thank the teachers for their dedication in this assessment and reporting period. Please consider taking the time to acknowledge any teacher or support staff member who has taken the extra step in supporting your child.
There will be a Parent Reference Group meeting on Wednesday evening next week. Amanda Carracher is the chair of the PRG and any matters you would like raised with her can be done via email at prg@stbc.vic.edu.au. On Wednesday 19th June we have the School Advisory Council meeting and Jo Martin is the chair of that body (sac@stbc.vic.edu.au) . Alternatively, families may contact me on principal@stbc.vic.edu.au .
Stay safe
