Moderation Day - NEXT FRIDAY

A reminder to parents that Moderation Day in Tasmania is on Friday 6 June

Moderation provides a state-wide opportunity for teachers to share expertise and support standards that are consistently understood.

There will be no classes on the Moderation day, as all teaching staff will participate in the Moderation day work and activities. Alternative arrangements will need to be made for students on this day.

Marimba Concert

Tuesday 3 June | The Farrall Centre from 6.00pm - 7.30pm

Did you know that the word ‘marimba’ means ‘wood that sings’ in the African Bantu language? What a great way of describing the wonderful sounds made by our Years 3 - 12 students during their Marimba Ensembles. Students have been working with our Marimba teachers and tutors and we would love to invite you to come along to our annual Marimba Concert to enjoy the work of our ensembles.

All welcome, no tickets required.

Volunteers Needed for Year 10 Mock Interviews

As part of the Year 10 Career Development program, students are exploring opportunities for the future in a variety of ways. Integral to this program is raising awareness of, and developing, employability/ transferable work skills. One of these skills is that of communication. A Mock Interview, where students are interviewed by members of our community for a "coffee shop" position, is one experience we provide students to assist them in developing their skills.  To achieve the goal of 150 Mock Interviews we are seeking support from members of our school community.

Our Mock interviews are scheduled for:

  • Session 1:  Tuesday 24 June, 12.00pm - 1.00pm
  • Session 2: Thursday 26 June, 2.30pm - 3.30pm.

It is anticipated that there will be 4 or 5 student interviews scheduled per session.

If you are able to assist with Mock Interviews we would love to hear from you. Please contact Trish Menadue or Pete Gibson and nominate which day suits you best.

Friends Together 2025

With the School’s throughline this year of Active Hope, we hope you can consider supporting the School’s annual giving program, Friends Together. This year we are focusing our efforts on raising money for The Friends’ Fellowship, to enable a student, whose family can least afford the fees, to access a Friends' education next year. There are also options to contribute to building and facilities developments, and information literacy through the School libraries. There will be multiple activities happening over the coming weeks which will contribute to these funds. Information about these are below.
