A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

We’ve had a fantastic two weeks filled with exciting activities and meaningful learning experiences for both students and staff.

This week, our Junior Years teachers welcomed Emma Egan, Learning Leader from Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd, along with Jo from MultiLit. They visited to provide feedback on our implementation of InitiaLit across our junior classrooms.

Their reflections were incredibly affirming and highlighted the dedication and hard work of our staff.

Our leadership team and I have also been conducting classroom ‘drop-ins’ to support the rollout of our new behaviour curriculum.  We’ve been focusing on consistent routines for starting, entering, and exiting lessons.  I’m incredibly proud of how positively our students have responded to these new routines and the calm, predictable learning environment we are building together.

At last week’s assembly, we proudly launched the St. Brendan’s Class Cup, an award that recognises a class or group who exemplify our Magnify motto:  “Every student, every teacher, every day.”   This award celebrates the collective effort we all make to care for our school, one another, and ourselves, particularly in the areas of learning, safety, and wellbeing.

Fruit Break Updates

At 10:00 AM each day, students enjoy a short 5-minute fruit break. We kindly ask families to provide a suitable fruit snack for their children.

To help make this time efficient and smooth:

  • Please ensure fruit is pre-cut or segmented if needed.
  • Pack the fruit in a small, separate container (not in the main lunchbox).

We’ve noticed many students are bringing out their entire lunch during this short break, which is causing delays in transitioning back to learning. Your support in preparing a quick and easy fruit snack will help us make the most of our learning time.   Thank you for your co-operation!

2026 Foundation Enrolments - Closing Soon

Enrolments for Foundation 2026 will close on Friday, 27th June.  Families can complete the enrolment process online by visiting our school website and clicking the Enroll Now button.

If you know of any families looking for a school for their Foundation students, please let them know that they can request a school prospectus via our website. We are also currently taking bookings for individual school tours for interested families.

Winter Uniforms to be Worn

It has been a very cold week at school, and we kindly remind all students and families that winter uniforms are now required. Please ensure all jumpers and tracksuit pants are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

We are currently accumulating a number of unnamed and unclaimed items. If these are not collected, they will be returned to the second-hand uniform shop.

Sports Uniform Days

We’ve had a few students unsure about which days to wear their sports uniform. Please refer to the schedule below and ensure students wear their tracksuits on the correct days:

  • Foundation to Year 2:   Monday & Wednesday
  • Years 3 to 6:   Tuesday & Thursday

Thank you for your support in helping students be prepared and comfortable for their school day.

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Uniting to provide before and after school care for our students.

  • Before School Care:   7:00am – 8:30am
