Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.”
This Sunday, 15th June, the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, also known as Trinity Sunday. This feast honours the central mystery of our faith: one God in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
At St Brendan’s, helping our students grow in their faith is at the heart of all we do. One of the most beautiful and important teachings in our Catholic faith is the mystery of the Holy Trinity—God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is something our students engage in everyday at school through prayer.
While the Trinity can be a big idea to understand, our students are learning that it’s really about how God shows His love in three special ways:
- As God the Father, our Creator who made the world and knows each of us by name.
- As Jesus the Son, who came to live among us, teach us, and show us how to love.
- And as the Holy Spirit, who lives in our hearts, guiding and helping us every day.
Learning about the Trinity helps our students grow in their relationship with God and understand that He is always with them—in their homes, in their friendships, and in their prayer.
As we explore this mystery in the classroom and in prayer, we encourage our students to think of the Trinity not just as a teaching to learn, but a relationship to live—one filled with love, unity, and trust in God’s presence.
Dear God,
You are three in one—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Thank You for loving me so much.
God the Father, You made the world and made me.
Jesus the Son, You are my friend and my Saviour.
Holy Spirit, You help me make good choices.
Help me to love others, to be kind, and to always remember
that You are with me every day.
Amen.
Our Holy Father - Pope Leo
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of Pope Leo and for his faithful leadership of Your Church.
Guide him with wisdom, strength, and compassion as he shepherds Your people.
Fill his heart with Your peace and his words with Your truth.
May he continue to be a sign of hope, unity, and love for all the world.
Bless his mission, protect him in his ministry, and surround him with Your grace each day.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
