Visual Communication and Design

The Visual Communication Design elective aims to develop critical thinking skills by exploring design practice to solve problems. Students use appropriate language to describe and analyse their work and the work of other designers. They are encouraged to follow a design process and explore manual processes (freehand drawing and instrumental drawing) and digital processes (computer design and rendering) to develop and refine their work.

Visual Communication and Design is useful in that students can apply concepts and skills learned to other areas of their studies and everyday life. Students will develop skills in poster design, two-point perspective drawing and book cover design.
