Year 10 Interviews

Throughout the start of this year, I have had the privilege of meeting with all Year 10 students supported by Mr Franzin, Mr Webster, Mr Mitchell and Mr Robinson. The topic of conversations have been centred around;

  • Intended pathways and interests
  • Unpacking Year 9
  • Acknowledging successes and areas for growth
  • Assessing the step up into Year 10
  • Opportunity for students to provide feedback.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the manner in which our young men discussed the above topics, being incredibly reflective in the process. Some take away themes and topics include

  • A structed approach to homework/study.
  • A need to focus on me more and less of my mates
  • A real step up in expectations in Year 10
  • Support from teachers is evident
  • “I know what I need to do to improve”

In concluding our conversations we focus on how we can support one another in order for our students to reach the goals they have set for themselves.
