Bin Enclosure Car Park
I am sure that you have noticed the fencing in the carpark!
We are very excited for some minor works to begin, creating a safer pathway for our Curiosity ELC students as they walk between ELC and the school.
You would have seen the area by the Lutheran Care Donation bin fenced off, this is to create a new bin enclosure where we will move the big bins that are currently housed at the Hilllary Cresent car park exit.
Along with this work the garden beds will be prettied up (including working with the congregation to improve the whole front garden in the near future), and then the exit to the car park will be improved, making it safer for our youngest students
Playground and Aquaponics
Next week we will be sharing the details about the playground changes around the school. You may have noticed that two of the Aquaponics planting beds have been removed - this will be the space of a new outdoor teaching and learning area.
We are incorporating more raised garden beds in order to bring food technology into learning across the school. We aim to begin to explore this through design technology later in the year.
We also hope to have the Aquaponics system working in the not too distant future. As we explore the learning opportunities that Aquaponics bring to the children across the school, we are looking at how we can link with local and government agencies to make the Aquaponics a sustainable part of our curriculum into the future.
If you have any questions about the changes that are happening - please reach out.
Yours in Partnership,
Evie
