Year 12 Formal

On Friday 16 May, our cohort celebrated their very last Formal! The Year 12 Formal was an unforgettable night and definitely one for the books! Upon arrival, we were met with a red carpet entry, a delicious mocktail and our very own personal paparazzi (shout-out to Ms Zhang!). 

Everyone came dressed up to the nines and ready to celebrate, and the vibes were amazing from the start. We kicked things off with a delicious two course meal, but as soon as the music started, everyone was up on their feet! The DJ absolutely killed it this year , playing all the bangers that got EVERYONE on the dance floor. 

One of the best parts? Seeing the teachers get up and boogie with us (some had serious moves). Of course, the classic Nutbush made its usual appearance with everyone jumping in like it was second nature. And the dance circles? Iconic.

The photo booth was also a hit, packed with people all night capturing memories! 

Later in the night, we handed out the formal awards. These were based on student votes and honestly had everyone cracking up. From “Most Likely to Become Famous” to “Best Dressed,” it was all in good fun and just added to the good vibes.

Formal was another chance for our year level to come together and just enjoy being around each other. In a year that can feel so busy and full on, having a night like this to celebrate, laugh, and even bond with our teachers reminded us of how far we’ve come and how special this final year really is. Now the countdown to Val begins!
