A group of 86 eager Wantirna students travelled to Kings Park Reserve on Tuesday 20 May for the Knox Division Cross Country championships. Last year, we took 62 students so it was a big increase on numbers which is fantastic to see. Our runners were faced with sunny weather and strong competition from local schools.
We had six individual race winners and won the overall school competition, scoring 390 points followed by Rowville 220 and Upwey 200. An amazing effort by everyone involved!
The top 15 in each race qualify for the Region Championships and we had a total of 54 students qualify which a fantastic achievement.
