Join the Community Events Team in 2025!
As we approach the end of Term 3, we’re already looking ahead to 2025. While we’ll be giving a big shout-out to some incredible CET members at the end of Term 4 as they move on from their BNWPS journey, we’re starting to think about filling their shoes with more amazing volunteers.
Community events at school are super important because they strengthen our sense of connection, foster a supportive school community, and help raise essential funds that benefit everyone.
If you’re curious about joining the Community Events Team, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have about how we operate, what’s involved or how much time commitment is required. First and foremost, we aim for creating a sustainable pace for all and to provide ongoing flexibility in volunteer commitment—there’s no need to be involved in every event. Many hands make light work, and we often take turns throughout the year.
We always invite everyone to work at their own pace and capacity. Whether you’re a planner, creative thinker, great at admin, good at tasks, or just have a little extra time, there’s a role for you.
We’re especially hopeful to welcome more Dads and Male-Identifying Carers and Grown Ups to the team, following the great success of our first Dad joining the team this year. It’s been wonderful addressing the gender balance in our little team, and we’d love to continue growing in that direction.
New to BNWPS or have a younger child? Now’s the perfect time to get involved! Learn a few insider tips working alongside an experienced team and help keep our amazing school community connected. It’s a fun way to support the events while also enjoying social time with great people while planning, running events and debriefing afterwards.
We always appreciate our amazing Parent Helpers at events, but being a CET MEMBER is something special in itself- whatever time you can offer is appreciated, so come join us and help make a difference! Thanks for taking the time to consider jumping on board with us for 2025, we look forward to hearing from you.
CET dates ahead:
Our special Holiday Plant & Produce market will be wrapping up Term 4, coinciding with the Specialists Afternoon, so watch this space for more information nearer the time.

All volunteers at the school need a valid Working With Children’s Check - click this link to apply if you don’t have one. It’s fairly straightforward and free for volunteers.
