From the Acting Principal

Early finish last day of term

Just a reminder that we’ll be finishing early on the last day of the term at 2:30 PM. Have a safe and restful holiday, and we look forward to welcoming you back in October for Term 4. I’m very pleased to be continuing in the Acting Principal role while Suzanne is on extended leave.

Parent Opinion Survey

The survey remains open until this Friday, 20th September. Our response rate so far  is sitting at  19%. We'd very much like to hear your opinions about our school to assist with planning for our next strategic plan.

SSG Meetings. Thank you to all the parents, carers and support staff who attended the student support group meetings this term. Your participation helps us better support our students, and we appreciate your time and input.

Student Learning

This month, our students have been involved in a variety of exciting events, both on and off campus. We’re incredibly proud of how they represent our school and engage with the community. Their efforts consistently earn glowing feedback from participants and community members alike. A big thank you to the staff who organised and supported these important events.

  • Our student Leaders organised another very successful McDonalds lunch order day this term which was thoroughly enjoyed by both students and staff. We’re looking forward to seeing what they plan for Term 4.
  • Well done to our team who played in the All-Abilities Soccer Tournament, competing against other Specialist Schools in the Region. They won two out of the three games they played.
  • RU OK Day emphasizes the importance of staying connected and supporting one another, which can make a significant difference in people's lives. It’s an important day on our school calendar as a reminder to staff to check in with and support each other. By normalising conversations around mental health, it helps break down the stigma that can prevent people from seeking help when needed. Thank you to Jessie and Jacqui for organising our RU OK Day morning Tea. Your home-made cupcakes were delicious.
  • Our choir attended the Geelong Music and Movement Festival at the Arts Centre this week. The students had a wonderful time, and the crowd went wild
