Engaging in our Faith

How do I Engage in the School's Catholic Charism?

Engaging in our school is very different to being involved. It involves a sharing of who we are rather than just what skills we have. It is about being part of a community no matter our faith, our race or how long we have been in the school.

Just "come as you are" to the following initiatives if you can....

If you or your child are Catholic and are interested in being readers together as a family, then please email youth@lindfieldkillara.org.au. It is always great for parents to role model reading and celebrate together.

Sacramental "Gifts of Love"

If you are a parent of a candidate for First Eucharist why not paint a cross for your child and amaze them with your love? No artistic talent needed as I provide lots of guidance and tracing options!!

When? Saturday October 26th from 2-5pm in the school library. To register please email me asap as I am getting the crosses specially made.

SPAR stands for Stop. Pray. And. Reflect

SPAR will be a time for parents to stop and breathe and be connected by faith. We will stop, pray a have time to be in stillness and quiet before work starts. Hope to see you there! It only goes for half an hour and coffee is afterwards.

Mission Liturgy on Friday 18th October at 9 am will be our SPAR for that morning!

LET'S SOCK IT TO POVERTY ON FRIDAY, 18 OCTOBER!

The students and staff at Holy Family Catholic Primary School will follow our Heads, Hearts and Hands to make a difference. We will join Caritas in their Socktober program by wearing sensational socks to school and bringing in a monetary donation.

Head: We will expand our students' understanding of global issues by immersing them in the reality of children in developing countries.

Heart: We will inspire love and compassion in students through storytelling and formation activities that connect them with the people we support.

Hands: We will encourage students to take action by praying, advocating, and providing financial support to children in need to make a real impact.

Thank you for your continued support in building the Kingdom of God at Holy Family.

Kind regards

Liana Stella
