Principal's Message
Dear Holy Family Parents and Carers,
RE Creative Arts Competition Winners
A huge congratulations to all of our talented students who entered the RE Creative Arts competition! Your dedication, creativity, and passion truly shone through your incredible works. We are delighted to announce that several of our students have been invited to showcase their achievements in an exciting evening of celebration. The first-place winners have outstanding pieces in the categories of dance, drama, and short film and will be featured at this special event next term. We are incredibly proud of the efforts of all our participants.
Zing Activ Interschools Dance Challenge
Tonight, almost 80 students from Years 3 to 6 will participate in the Zing Activ Interschools Dance Challenge at Homebush, showcasing their enthusiasm, energy, and teamwork. I'm sure it will be a wonderful celebration of movement, with our students shining brightly.
Lindfield Art Show Fair (LASF) Feedback Survey
To gather meaningful feedback from parents, students and staff we invite you to complete the Lindfield Art Show and Fair (LASF) survey questions shared earlier this week. We'd love your feedback.
Facilities Update
During the holiday period, the school will be undertaking significant maintenance work, including the installation of new carpet and vinyl flooring. These upgrades will further enhance our learning spaces, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to a refreshed environment.
End of Term Three Review
This term has been nothing short of remarkable, and it is thanks to the collective efforts of our dedicated students, committed educators, supportive parents, parish, and the entire school community.
Throughout these past months, we have witnessed exceptional growth, both academically and personally. Our students have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for knowledge that continues to inspire us all. From innovative classroom projects to outstanding performances in extracurricular activities, each achievement reflects the passion and determination and a love of learning.
In the past 10 weeks our school community has been involved in the following: opening ceremony for the new playground, Council "green" planting with the Green Team, SPARK – Gifted Enrichment Days, RE Creative Arts Competition, Public Speaking, St Mary of the Cross mass, Come and Try Big school, SRC meetings, "Write a Book in a Day", Book Week parade and performance, CSNSW Directors visit, Soccer days, Solemnity of the Assumption mass, Zing dancing lessons, P&F meetings, Father's Day breakfast and liturgy, Wellbeing Week activities, Musica Viva - Kaboom, Blessing of the Animals, First Communion program, Children's masses, Stage 3 Soar to Success, Open Days, Stage 3 Gold day, Lindfield Art Show and Fair, Zing Dance Challenge and showcase, CAPA performances, Athletics Carnival, Running Club and many more.
As we conclude Term 3, I wish all our students, families, and staff a safe and happy holiday break. It’s a time to recharge and spend quality moments with family and friends. During the holidays may I encourage any parent of beginning readers to continue the home reading routine. Two weeks is a long break for those children who are needing practice. A little reading every day combined with a story at bedtime will make a significant difference.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration throughout the term, and I look forward to seeing everyone in Term 4.
