Arts News
We are delighted that two of our art exhibition installations are now on display in the foyer of the Albany Entertainment Centre as part of the Schools in Art Trail. These will be on display over the holidays. Both installations explore the theme of rhythms. The Year One display responds to the rhythms of our seasons, particularly the Menang Six Seasons. The other is a display of Years Four, Five and Six work.
The students danced with artist in residence, Peter Hill, then drew their movement and finally etched, burnt and painted into panels of palette wood that now all form their own rhythms in a new artwork. Both installations celebrate the work of our young artists.
We are also excited as many of our student artworks will be shortly displayed at the Albany Town Hall. This exhibition is on from Wednesday 16 October until Wednesday 30 October. If you would like to support this student exhibition and are able to sit with it either in a morning session 10.00am to 1.30pm or an afternoon session, 1.30pm to 5.00pm we would love to hear from you!
Please add your name to the roster link if you are available. volunteersignup.org/PBLED
I hope everyone is able to enjoy the many exhibits in Art Trail these holidays.
