Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been an absolute joy and blessing to reintroduce our little friends of OLSS to Little Stars Playgroup at the back end of this term. To finish off the term we had a very special Teddy Bear Picnic and it was lovely to see how happy and proud all of the children were of the teddies and their completed artwork. 

Playgroup and SPaR will continue next term on a Friday morning and all siblings from 0-5 are welcome to join us for a morning of fun, song and prayer. Those who aren't yet at school, but are thinking of joining the school are also welcome to attend. Parents without young children are also welcome to join us just for SPaR at the start. SPaR is a great opportunity to stop and recharge for 5 minutes before the business of the day ahead.

Early next term the students in Year 6 will be sitting an RE Asessment. To show our support and the fact that we are thinking of them, the students in Year 5 have taken some time to write a very special prayer card for each of the students in Year 6. We wish them good luck and will keep them in our prayers.

We are excited to announce our annual Family Wellbeing and Education Life Month events on October 28 and 29, featuring a conversation with Melinda Tankard Reist. This free event will be held at two venues: Liverpool Catholic Club on October 28 and Souths Juniors on October 29 from 6:30pm – 8:45pm. Both venues offer ample parking, and Souths Juniors is easily accessible by public transport.

Melinda Tankard Reist is a renowned author, speaker, and advocate for young people, who will address the critical issues affecting our youth today, including the harmful impacts of toxic language, imagery, and digital violence. During this event parents and carers will gain actionable insights to help families minimise online and digital risks. Below is a flyer that includes more information.
