Week 9!

We are just two busy weeks from the end of term! That means two weeks to tie up loose ends, and send students into the holidays have learned, conquered and enjoyed two weeks of learning!

Yearbooks

A reminder to complete your blurb and upload this to the t drive by 13th September. That is this coming Friday!

Absences & Planning Ahead

If you intend to be away, and know ahead of time, I encourage you to let me know in advance, so that I can support your classroom as needed, and make plans in advance. The earlier I know, the easier it is for me to plan ahead. Of course, there will always be times where this is not possible due to sickness and this is absolutely okay. I want to support your classroom team, and students, as best I can. As always, if you are going to be absent, please make Fiona aware as early as possible.

IEPs

The goals for Semester 2 IEPs need to be finalised by the end of this term. If you have any questions about writing your students' goals, please don't hesitate to reach out following this week's PLC time that was allocated to IEP goals.

CTM

Please ensure that your CTM minutes are populated with students' learning goals ready for discussion at your meeting. If you'd like me to act as a norm monitor, timekeeper, or note-taker, just let me know. Additionally, following our PLC, think about how you can use your CTMs in Semester 2 to collaborate on updating Student Profiles and discussing progress towards IEP goals.

Production

The production is fast approaching, with rehearsals/mock performances taking place this week, and the actual performance taking place in Week 10.

Classroom Walls

Some classrooms have been noted to have writing on walls or cupboards using permanent markers, pencils, etc. If this applies to your room, please either clean it yourself or log it on maintenance to be removed. If you wish to record student heights, please use tape and remind students not to write or draw on the walls. Thank you for your support with this.

Excursions

Please ensure that you stay on top of the excursion checklist in advance. Confirm that parental permission has been granted, the activity locator is filed, and that transport and staffing are arranged. I encourage you to touch base with me and the admin team in the weeks leading up to your excursion for additional review and support in planning and coordination.

We have some exciting whole school and sub school excursions planned. These include Inflatable World, anti-bullying incursions, an animal farm, you name it- plenty to get excited about as we head into Term 4.

2025 Plans

A reminder that the 2025 staff preference survey closes in October. Be sure to action this, so that we can consider your plans for next year in the planning for 2025.

Term 3 Assemblies

Thank you Rooms 14 & 18. Next up will be Rooms 12, 15 & 16!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything I can assist with.

Be kind to yourselves!
